Chousei Kantai Sazer-X (超星艦隊セイザーX, Chōsei Kantai Seizā Ekkusu^?) translated as Super Star Fleet Sazer-X is a tokusatsu superhero TV series produced by Toho Company Ltd., and Konami. This series is the third in Toho's Seishin (Star God) series. Compared to the previous two series, this series is more comical, and much more futuristic and technological themed, as opposed to the more fantasy-like elements of the previous series as well. In addition, Public Service Announcements are done at the end of every episode. This is the final installment of the Toho's Seishin series lasting only 38 episodes.

• Takuto Ando/Lio-Sazer: The main character of the series, who dreams of becoming an F1 racer and having his grandfather accept him as a man.

• Ado/Eagle-Sazer: The serious member of the group, who does not take well to Takuto or any of the current era's Earthpeople. Hails from planet Biyodo.

• Kane/Beetle-Sazer: The immature member of the group who usually goofs off when they are not fighting. The oldest of seven, hails from planet Rady.

• Commander Shark/Shark-Sazer: Ado and Kane's commanding officer. And he is a adoptive father of Remy

• Remy Freede: Takuto's support tech who usually has to show him how to use the Sazer equipment. It is unknown if she has a Sazer Form like Gordo, Ein, or Zwein. She was raised from the planet Roue, which was destroyed by the Neo-Descal, however she was born during the 1960s and was brought by Shark to the future to cure her terminal disease.

• Gordo/Sazer Gordo: Ado's usually quiet (and lazy) support tech who can fight on his own and possesses immense strength. In addition, he has a device which enables him to turn into a Sazer Form, which has partial armor, helmet, and arm attachment which usually consist of a mace and axe.

• Twin Sazers Ein and Zwein: Kane's support team; originally thought to be robots by fans are actually a brother/sister team who assist Kane in battle. But like Kane, they too are inexperienced. Their true forms appear to be shapeless pink and blue colored slime, which can leave their suits on command. They enjoy taking baths in the Ando household, due to their ship not having one.

• Patora: Snuck aboard a Neo-Descal ship to get to the present. She is a master of infiltration and Gordo's wife.

• Fire Shogun Blaird: Formerly an enemy of Sazer-X; later joins with Jackal for a brief period of time. Now hangs with Takuto and acts quite comical.

• Wind Shogun Cyclead: The true ancestors of the neodescal once the leader of neo descal.

• Jackal: An anti-hero who powers work like that of the Sazers and has an intense rivalry with Captain Shark/Shark-Sazer. Later revealed in the series to be a friend of Shark's who was in cold sleep when he first met with Soujiroh. Ultimately perishes mid-series.

• Water Shogun Aqual: Like Blaird she was an ememy of the Sazers, but she became good when Neo-Descal brainwashed Cyclead.

• Core-Calibur/Braver: The center of the main three Sazer-X mecha formations. Usually piloted by Takuto, it's a humanoid black-and-white fighter. Armed with various attacks such as "Core Lasers". When hit by an "Optimize Beam", the black panels turn orange (Great-Lio), red (Wind-Eagle) or blue (Magna-Beet) and the transformation begins.

• Space Pirate Descal: The Space pirates from the present time. Consisted of Captain Barder, Blaird, Cyclead and Aqual. Captain Barder appeared to be an android, which caused Blaird to doubt why he is a pirate. This caused the pirates to fall apart and they were defeated in a large battle in space against the Sazers, but Groaza saved them.

• Future space pirate Neo Descal(Garade): Space pirates who came from the future led by a grumpy Pirate warlord called Garade. Consisted of Garade, Groaza and the Jackal. They constantly bullied the space pirates from the present. This caused Blaird to quit being a pirate and Aqual wanted to betray Garade by killing him. Groaza disappeared during a change in history and Garade was killed by the Pirate King Neo Descal.

• Future space pirate Neo Descal: The Pirate King Neo Descal came to the present to set things right according to him. Consisted of Neo Descal and Barreda. They said that Aqual and Cyclead were allowed to lead the battle, but brainwashed Cyclead to gain the upper hand. This act caused the original space pirates to join the sazers.
