Chotto Shot Camera
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) camera also known as the Chotto Shot Camera, has been released in Japan but has not been released anywhere else yet. The camera mounts atop the Sony PSP via the USB connection slot. It is a 1.3 megapixel camera, meaning it takes photographs with a resolution of 1280 x 960 (5” x 7” printed), similar to cameras found in newer cellular phones. The camera is able to record video with audio to the VIDEO menu in the PSP navigation bar. The PSP camera requires firmware version 3.00 or higher, as the CAMERA feature is only present in 3.00 or higher. To take photographs or videos users must select CAMERA under the PHOTO menu. This activates the camera and allows the user to take photos or video clips. Once taken, the photo or video will then be saved to the user’s memory stick.
A picture of the camera at E3 can be found at http://www.joystiq.com/2006/05/12/e3-psp-camera/.
There has also been a glitch found. When a USB cable had been connected to the PC and the user had selected CAMERA, it was noticed by the PC as a new USB accessory. The discovery of the glitch was found here http://www.psp-vault.com/module-pnForum-viewtopic-topic-787.psp
