CHOSEN is an acronym that stands for Christian Hospitals Overseas Secure Equipment Needs. It was founded in 1969 by Richard Love who had taken a year off from working at American Sterilizer to survey the world. Upon returning from a visit to a Korean hospital he realized the urgent need for affordable medical equipment in the third world countries. Richard Love began to obtain sterilizers, OR tables and lights, and other basic hospital equipment often using obsolete units donated by hospitals in the Eastern United States. Since its beginning in 1969 CHOSEN has shipped more than 40 Million dollars worth of medical equipment o over 90 countries worldwide. All of the equipment that is refurbished modified to fit the specific needs of the purchaser and provided at a minimal cost.
