Chorley St James Cricket Club
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Chorley St James Cricket Club plays at the Gillett Playing Fields in Limbrick, Chorley, and enters three teams in the Southport & District Amateur Cricket League. In 2006, the 1st XI finished joint third in Division Two, while the 2nd XI finished bottom in Division Three. An under 18 also side competed in the league's junior competition.
The club was one of the final six clubs remaining in the Chorley League before its demise at the end of the 2005 season, hence the move to the Southport League.
In 2007, the 1st XI will be captained once again by Neil Critchley, with Sean Foster as his assistant. However, if Critchley fails to recover from the injuries that have blighted his close season, then Foster will assume the role of skipper, with Paul McNally Snr as his number two. The 2nd XI captain for 2007 is Dave Higham.
