Choose Life, Inc is an organization started by Marion County, Florida commissioner Randy Harris, Jim Steel and Russ Amerling, with the intent of persuading women with unplanned pregnancies to choose birth rather than abortion. It is funded by donations and license plate stickers. The bill authorizing the use of license plate fees for anti-abortion purposes passed the Florida State Legislature in 1999 and was sponsored by State Senator Jim Sebesta and State Representative Bev Kilmer. Previous sponsors include State Senator Tom Lee, and State Representative Tom Feeney.
