The origin of the word Chooch has been under much debate. Some say the term is derived from the Italian word "ciuccio" and means jackass, dummy, idiot, or moron. A chooch is a person, who against better judgement, acts inappropriately. Others, particularly in the state of Massachusetts say it came from a single man that invented the word by accident. The man was trying to decide whether to call another man a "chick" or a "hooch" and instead called him a chooch. The man that was called Chooch has never been able to shake his identity associated with the word. In suburbs south of Boston, MA there have been posters, t-shirts, and popular myspace.com pages made about the man. Some also say that the tearm 'chooch' was developed to describe a male's vagina and then evloved into a tearm used to describe one man. Some others quotes on the word....
1. One who tries to get away without paying or is always a few dollars short. Someone who gets off cheap.
"That f****** chooch didn't leave a tip!"
2.A jackass. one who acts without thinking.
"Why would you put the ice cream in the refrigerator and not the freezer? Geez! You're such a chooch!"
3. An idiot or insult to a person.. also used in the verb format as in to rip off someone
a. "You are a chooch mark harrington"
b. "I chooched the kid going into the first turn"
