Choo-Choo Soul

Choo Choo Soul (featuring Genevieve) is currently a short music video length interstitial series that airs in between Playhouse Disney's regularly scheduled programming. It features singer Genevieve Goings, a dancing DJ train engineer, and children dancing to "older" children's music inside a 3-D with green screened live action.
Choo Choo Soul was created as a side project during voice work at Live Oak Studio for the 3rd installment of the ToeJam & Earl videogame franchise for the Xbox.
Greg Johnson (Game Developer), recording engineer and sound designer Burke Treischmann of Open Door Studios, and voice talent Genevieve Goings collaborated together to create an older styled music children's record. Greg created the concept for Choo Choo Soul and initiated the collaboration by recording melodies and accompaniment tracks onto his cellphone inside his car in his garage, and emailed them to Burke to build on. Once in the studio Greg would showcase the built on melodies and lyrics that Genevieve provided the inspirational singing talent.
Shortly after a CD Baby release Disney producers asked Choo Choo Soul to come be a part of a possible project which quickly turned into an unprepared 90 minute audition. Genevive proceeded to entertain the group of 30 children and Disney executives. By the end of the audition the children fell in love with her and Disney decided to create a test run of 10 mini shows showing on Playhouse Disney among other musical talents such as Dan Zanes and Laurie Berkner.

"Music for kids age 2 to 10 that won't drive parents crazy!!
There are few pleasures in life that beat dancing around the living room with your little kids, or if you're a kid, dancing with your parents. We thought...why not create some funky dance music with lyrics that little kids would like? Music that kids AND their parents could enjoy.... that they could sing and dance to together...or perhaps listen to together in the car. If you're a parent, you know that long car rides can sometimes be...well... challenging.
When you hear our music your first thought might be: "Hey, that's not like other kid's music!" Well, that's sort of the point. You may be surprised at just how funky little kids can be. So far our experience has been that kids just jump up and start dancing when the CD comes on. Here's hoping that "Choo Choo Soul" brings some funky dancing, and joyful laughter into your home"
