Choi Uk Tsuen

Choi Uk Tsuen is a village in the Yuen Long District in northwestern New Territories, Hong Kong.

The community living in Choi Uk Tsuen consists of people who have the surname Cai (romanised as Choi based on Cantonese), specifically descendants of three independent family lines who share the same name and have joined the village at various times.

The village houses an ancestry hall which houses photos of the living and deceased people who live and have lived in the village.

The traditional poon choi (big bowl feast) still continues whenever there a major event taking place (eg, wedding celebration and various Chinese festivals including the Lunar New Year).
