CHNI-FM (News 88.9) is an FM radio station broadcasting on 88.9 MHz from Saint John, New Brunswick. The station broadcasts a format of news, talk and sports, and is owned by Rogers Communications.
News 88.9's first broadcast was on October 11, 2005. CHNI is networked with sister stations CKNI-FM (News 91.9) in Moncton and CJNI-FM (News 95.7) in Halifax, and all non-news programming on the three stations is identical. The Afternoon News with Tom Young, a call-in talk show airing from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays, is broadcast from Saint John to all three stations. News 88.9 broadcasts Saint John Sea Dogs, Ottawa Senators and Toronto Blue Jays games on nights when those teams are playing, otherwise, they simulcast ESPN Radio at night.
