The acronym CHMC is also sometimes erroneously used in the media as a reference to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, or CMHC.

CHMC is a Canadian radio station, broadcasting at 99.3 FM in Edmonton, Alberta. The station, which uses the brand name Magic 99, broadcasts a mix of smooth jazz, blues and soft rock. This station is owned by Rawlco Communications and was launched in September 2005 for testing, but it officially debuted December 8, 2005 at 2pm local time.

The station's current slogan is: "Life's too short for ordinary music."
