Chloralose

Chloralose is an avicide, rodenticide used to kill mice in temperatures below 15°C, and bird repellent.
Chemically, it is (R)-1,2-O-(2,2,2-Trichloroethylidene)-α-D-glucofuranose, formula C8H11Cl3O6, CAS number [15879-93-3].
It is listed in Annex I of Directive 67/548/EEC with the classification Harmful (Xn) and Risk and Safety Statements R22, S1/2, S16, S24/25, S28.
