Template:Chinese currency and coinage → Template:Mainland Chinese currency and coinage — The template was named "Mainland Chinese currency and coinage". User:Secrecy has been trying to move it to "Chinese currency and coinage" (POV). The same thing has happened to the content of Renminbi, which has been discussed at Talk:Renminbi#Mainland or not?, which goes on to the next section on the same talk page. User:Secrecy was unable to make a coherent argument why the word "mainland" should be removed. ChoChoPK (球球PK) (talk | contrib) 21:22, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

- Oppose; most of this template deals with currencies before any division between Chinas. Make it cover all currencies within China, and what's the problem? As far I can see this amounts to: Remove the word era from the ROC, since it still exists, and add the New Taiwan dollar. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 14:09, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- Comment That would be POV because the Pan Green Coalition would oppose that. Even though I personally prefer your solution. --ChoChoPK (球球PK) (talk | contrib) 15:16, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- If we agree, let's not tell them ;-> It may be impossible to be acceptable to everyone. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 17:16, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose I don't necessarily think current Taiwanese currency should be included, but this template covers currencies well before the term "mainland" came into being. No opinion on whether to remove the term "era" as the template is organized historically and the ROC was a distinct "era". SchmuckyTheCat 02:15, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
