[edit] Subject

This article has been reverted to say "mainland" everywhere because it doesn't apply to Hong Kong. As written, the article currently reads from the mainland perspective (which should be fixed by better writing). However, it is untrue to state to make it say "mainland" because the PRC owns all the land in Hong Kong as well, with leasing authority vested in the Chief Executive. Owning property in HK means owning a land lease, not the actual property. I assume the same is true in Macao. This article is in desperate need of sourcing and re-write in general, so it's a pity to waste editor time on revert wars on such irrelevant bickering. SchmuckyTheCat 22:36, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

The subject matter of this article is the property bubble, not land ownership. The subject matter is still the property bubble in mainland China, no matter land in Hong Kong is owned by the PRC or not. — Instantnood 22:51, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
As if Hong Kong hasn't been bubbling since 2004, as well. The subject matter is not limited as you claim. SchmuckyTheCat 22:59, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
