Chinese handball was huge in the Monterey Park, CA, area when I was young (as described in "Variants"). Schools there had a large Asian population, so as a kid I assumed that Chinese handball had literally been introduced by the Chinese kids; but in fact it must have been imported by kids whose families had moved from the New York City area. Learning to put spin on the ball was everything--kind of like what differentiates table tennis from regular tennis. --Dsewell 01:46, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
