[edit] Naming convention

Following naming conventions for neighborhoods of cities, shouldn't this be moved to Chinatown, Oakland, California? Meelar (talk) 16:18, May 13, 2005 (UTC)

What Naming convention for neighborhoods? There are no special naming conventions for cities, unless multiple cities with the same name exist. See Wikipedia:Naming conventions (city names). Also, there are not that many Chinatowns in the world for there to be any confusion. See a list of existing articles at Category:Chinatowns Petersam 22:03, 13 May 2005 (UTC)
OK. It's just that other neighborhood articles I've seen for U.S. cities have been at [[Neighborhood name, City name, state name]]; I mistakenly assumed that was the convention. Best, Meelar (talk) 20:14, May 15, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Links in article

Note: Please do not delete the standalone links in the article. They are placeholders and will be expanded into text/prose soon, hopefully by the end of summer. thanks Petersam 23:58, 9 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] WP:NOT a directory

This article as it reads right now (Aug 20th) reads very much like a directory. I'm going to go through and see what I can do to clean up the page, which may include deleting some links. Older versions with the links will be found in the page history. --Daniel Olsen 04:55, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

Note: when removing material, I will move it to User:Daniel Olsen/Chinatown Cleanup. --Daniel Olsen 04:59, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Picture and infobox

Which should be on top, the picture or the infobox with the map? I personally think that that a picture to associate the topic with with which to associate the topic is more useful to more people than a map. I'm changing it to have the picture on top for now, but I'm open to hearing arguments for the other side. --Daniel Olsen 05:37, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
