[edit] Resize the images?
The reason I wanted to left-align some of our images is that the Commons and Spoken article links are being dragged too far down below the rest of the text, no thanks to the images. I'm of the opinion that the reader should be able to see these extra links without having to scroll extra far to the bottom of the article.
If we don't agree on re-aligning them, can we resize them at least, so that the Commons and Spoken links can be seen when the reader has scrolled down to, say, the end of the Architecture section? I don't want to do this unilaterally without asking for other opinions first. — Kimchi.sg | Talk 11:07, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
- IMHO, don't see any problem in the current alignment of the photos and the location of the Commons and Spoken articles. However, if there is unanimity in opinion that image-ititis is a malignant tumour here and that the articles are too far down, I would opt to remove the photos and place the articles' holders further up the page. Thanks. --Sengkang 13:15, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
- How about removing a few images so that the audio and commons links is in line with the bottom of the text portion? The commons link contains all the pics, so it shouldn't hurt.Dodo bird 08:50, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pronounciation
How do you actually read the name? Hayabusa future 09:08, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
- The 'J' is omitted when vocalising the word, so it sounds like "chimes". --Sengkang 09:35, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
Oh OK. Thanks! Hayabusa future 11:56, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] -MES?
I've always wondered: what does the "MES" in CHIJMES stand for? Jpatokal 03:07, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
- Based on earlier edits on the article, MES purportedly stands for "Middle Education School". However, from what I gathered from the net, MES was just added on to CHIJ by the developers to sound like "chimes". —Sengkang 03:16, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
