A set of Chinese Dominoes
A full set of Chinese Dominoes comprises of 32 tiles. Each tile is made up of the faces of two dice. The color scheme follows that of a traditional Chinese dice. The ones and fours are red.
The tiles in this picture were arranged according to the suits and ranks in the game of Tien Gow. The top two rows are of the civilian suit. The tiles on each row are arranged in decreasing rank from left to right. The ranking in this suit does NOT go by the number of dots on the tiles. The bottom two rows are of the military suit. The rank in this suit goes by the total number of dots on each tile. The highest are the 9s and the lowest is the 3. When the 4-2 and 1-2 tiles are played as a pair, it is considered a suit on its own. Any 2 or more tiles in each column can be played as a combo. e.g. Any two, three or four tiles from the fourth column from the left (1-3, 1-3, 2-3, 1-4) form a valid combo.
