Chirripó National Park, in Spanish Parque Nacional Chirripó , is a National Park in the Pacific La Amistad Conservation Area located in the Cordillera de Talamanca of Costa Rica that contains Cerro Chirripó, the highest mountain in the country at 3820 metres (12,529 ft). It covers parts of three Provinces in Costa Rica - San Jose, Limón and Cartago, and contains both primary cloud and rainforest to about 9,000 feet, while some of the higher regions have areas of páramo (wet alpine grassland).

During the dry season of January to May the region is susceptible to fires, most recently 20 km² (5000 acres) were affected in April 1992, closing the park for four months. Even more severe fires in the area also happened previously in 1976 and 1985, and there have been several other serious fires in the last half century.
