Chinyere Yvette James (born August 5, 1980 in West Palm Beach, Florida) is the founder of The True Gift incorporated, a non profit organization developed to aid and educate young adults living in the American foster care systems and also Adoptee's transition into independent living. The organization is based in Miami, Florida and was nominated for several humanitarian awards. James an adoptee herself came up with the idea of assisting others like her in 1999 and has been active in making visible the need for better foster care programs. Currently James has worked on several projects including writing a children's book, and a memoir of her life and the lives of others that have overcome the American foster care system and gone on to be successful in life
