Chinon (AOC)

Chinon is an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée for wines made around the town of Chinon which is in the Touraine district of the Loire region of France.

Their reds and rosés are made up of Cabernet Franc grapes, which is sometimes known locally as Breton, with an allowance of 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. They are typically dry and light to medium bodied.

Their whites are composed primarily of Chenin Blanc. They are typically described as dry, soft, light, and clean.
