Chinni Daandu

Chinni Daandu or Gilli Daandu is a game popular in southern parts of India, Karnataka in particular.
The game involves a small piece of wood, called chinni, which is sharpened on each end. It looks similar to the bail used on cricket stumps. The Daandu is a stick used to hit the edge of the chinni, in order to pop the chinni off the ground, and then to hit it hard enough to send it as far as possible.
There are several variations of this game. They are played between 2 to 10 players, either individually or as a group. Singapi is one of the terms used in the game. Toor Daandl is another.
