Chinese Culture University (Chinese: 中國文化大學) is a private university in Huagang, Shilin District, Taipei, Republic of China (Taiwan). It is the university with the highest altitude in Taiwan.
Founded in 1962 by Dr. Chang Chi-yun, the school now consists of twelve colleges: the College of Liberal Arts, the College of Foreign Languages, the College of Science, the College of Law, the College of Social Sciences, the College of Agriculture, the College of Engineering, the College of Business Administration, the College of Journalism and Mass Communication, the College of Arts, the College of Environmental Design and the College of Education.
Dr. Chang originally named the college "Far East University". Chiang Kai-shek gave the school its current name.

Over the last thirty years, Chinese Culture University has been reorganized many times. The Ministry of Education granted the Univeristy permission to establish studies in philosophy, Chinese, Eastern languages, English, French, German, history, geography, news, art, music, drama, physical education, domestic science,and architecture.
