Chima jeogori is a term for a women's costume consisting of a "chima" skirt and "jeogori" top. Men wear baji jeogori: baji (baggy pants) and jeogori. It is not a national costume per se, but a form of hanbok, the traditional Korean form of dress.
In korea Hanbok is the national dress that Koreans often use to express their sense of identity.
In Japan, some schools for the Korean minority use a girls' uniform that is based on the chima jeogori. At times, schoolgirls of such schools have become the targets for verbal abuse and threats, and their uniforms have been slashed.
