Chilean football league system

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Chilean football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for football clubs in Chile.

Since there is no fourth level, the last-placed team in the third division is not allowed to play the league in the next period as established by article 17 of the ANFA rule book. [1]

It's still in conversation that in 2008, Primera División will be reduced to 18 teams, and Primera B will be expanded to 14 teams.
