Childer Thornton is a small village between Hooton and Little Sutton it has three pubs one school and a garden centre
The A41 runs right through the middle of Childer Thornton. The village is exactly half way between Birkenhead and Chester which is why one of the pubs mentioned is called The Halfway House. The other pubs are The Riflemans Arms and The White Bear.
Childer Thornton is in the Anglican parish of Hooton and has a lovely parish church just outside the village on the main A41. This church is made of local sandstone and is quite handsome.
It is a very pleasant place to live and grow up in primarily due to the fact that it is relatively unspoiled and that with the opening of the Wirral motorway the traffic on the A41 is much reduced..
