Chief of the General Staff (Canada)

The Chief of the General Staff was the most senior member of the Canadian Army from 1904 until Unification in 1964. Previously, the position was held by the General Officer Commanding the Forces (Canada). After Unification,the position was replaced by the Commander, Mobile Command and eventually by the Chief of the Land Staff.
