Chief Nimrod Jarrett Smith was the third principal chief of the eastern band of Cherokee Indians. He was the grand-nephew of Stand Watie through his paternal grandmother, Sarah Susan Watie. He is also known by his war title, Tsaladileih (Charles the Killer).
