Chico Senior High School is a four-year school
Founded in 1902, it predominately serves as the senior school for graduates of Chico Junior High School.[1] In 1996, Chico Senior High School became a California Distinguished School recognized by the California Department of Education.[1] Then 1998 and 1989 witnessed it earning the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence followed in 2001 with the National Service-Learning Leader School and 2002-2005 National Smaller Learning Communities School award.One of the biggest smaller learning comminity is ACT (the Acedemy of Communication and Technology.)Act is open to students 9-12 and focuses on technology. Act students write, produce, and edit their own videos. The teachers is Act are: Mr Pope, Mrs. Pearson, Mr Bruchler, Mr Asnault, Mrs. Larson, Mr Klein, and Mrs. Metzger. Act is the first "school" to use online classes with Mrs. Larson as the teacher. The Class of 2008 is the first class to use History online.
