Chickenwings is a fictional character, a mutant in the Marvel Comics Universe. His first appearance was in X-Factor vol. 1 #51 (February, 1990).

[edit] Ficitional character biography

Chickenwings was a member of the Morlocks, a group of mutants and other humans living below the surface of the New York City. During the events of the Mutant Massacre, the Marauders slaughtered the Morlocks. Chickenwings managed to survive an attack by Sabretooth, but lost his left arm in the process, leaving him earthbound. Chickenwings and another Morlock, Mole, left the Morlock Alley and lived as homeless men in the streets of New York. However, Sabretooth took it upon himself to hunt down the survivors of the Massacre. He stalked and attacked Chickenwings and Mole. Chickenwings was slain by Sabretooth, but Mole managed to escape, although he was eventually found and killed by Sabretooth as well.

[edit] Powers and abilities

Chickenwings possessed a number of bird-like adaptations. He had hollow bones and wings under his arms allowing him to fly. His maximum speed and distance were unrevealed, but probably relatively limited. After losing an arm, he was unable to actually take flight, but only to achieve brief periods of lift. His legs were relatively weak (possibly from old injuries) and he was not able to move quickly on land.
