[edit] Features
Chickahominy Middle School contains a gifted and talented program and also allows students to take high school classes, some students taking Algebra 2 in their 8th grade year. It is encouraged at Chickahominy to utilize the four prominently offered languages(Latin, Spanish, French, or German) in their 6th grade year (Japanese is also offered but due to its academic rigor it is not commonly taken in middle school). Most students go from Chickahominy Middle School to Atlee High School. Another program is offered to students in their eighth grade year to apply to a local Governor's school,Maggie L. Walker Governor's School for Government and International Studies. It also contains a "Take Charge" program to maintain a healthy student body.
