Charles (Chick) McGee (a pseudonym connected with the Jack McGee character on The Incredible Hulk) is a radio personality who appears on the Bob & Tom Show. McGee (Born November 26, 1957 in Columbus, Ohio) briefly attended The Ohio State University before enrolling in and graduating from an independent broadcast school. He began his career at a small 1,000-watt radio station in West Virginia and held various on air positions at stations in West Virginia and Ohio.
Chick joined The Bob & Tom Show on April 1, 1986 as the show’s announcer, eventually expanding his duties to include sports and more. Disguised as the sports anchor, his unique contributions resonate via his “my-life-is-an-open-book” delivery. (Real middle name: Dean)
Chick often hosts or participates in Bob and Tom Radio: The Comedy Tour shows.
In early 1995 Chick left the show to become co-host of his own show at KGB-FM in San Diego, CA. After a short stint in California, McGee returned in July of that year to his old job on the Bob and Tom Show.
A lifelong Washington Redskins fan (he has two Redskins tattoos), McGee often states that he maintains a "shrine" to them at his home. He became an enthusiastic fan after his favorite coach, Vince Lombardi, was named head coach of the team in 1969.
Chick is the voice and co-creator along with Bob and Tom Show producer Dean Metcalf of one of the popular Bob and Tom show features "The Mr. Obvious Show". McGee is the voice of Mr. Obvious and Metcalf is the voice of the caller.
