chibangalore is a platform for interaction for all the HCI professionals, practitioners and students in the Bangalore area.

Its a local chartered chapter of ACM SIGCHI ( http://sigchi.org/. ACM SIGCHI, the ACM's Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction, brings together people working on the design, evaluation, implementation, and study of interactive computing systems for human use. ACM SIGCHI provides an international, interdisciplinary forum for the exchange of ideas about the field of human-computer interaction (HCI).

chibangalore's services includes the following:

- Collecting and disseminating information through a newsletter, announcements, and other physical and/or electronic media as are deemed appropriate. - Sponsoring meetings, conferences, symposia, discussion groups, and workshops within the Bangalore area. - Organizing sessions at conferences of the ACM. - Serving as a source of information for its members, other subunits of the ACM, and the general public. - Working with subunits of the ACM on activities such as lectures, professional development seminars, and technical briefings.
