Chi Carinae (χ Car / χ Carinae) is a star in the constellation Carina. It has the traditional Greek name Drys or Drus (Δρυς), meaning "oak" or "oak tree". The name gives reference to the story that Argus, builder of the Argo, built the prow of the ship of oak wood from the oracle of Dodona, through which the Argonauts were guided and communicated with by the gods.

χ Carinae is a blue-white B-type subgiant with a mean apparent magnitude of +3.46. It is approximately 387 light years from Earth. It is classified as a Beta Cephei type variable star and its brightness varies by 0.015 magnitudes with a period of 2.42 hours.
