CHFD-TV is a Canadian television station. It is a CTV affiliate, broadcasting on channel 4 and cable 6 in Thunder Bay, and via a transmitter in the Armstrong area (CKAR-TV, channel 8 with an ERP of 0.01kw). It can also be seen on the Bell ExpressVu (channel 222) and Star Choice (channel 314) satellite services.
The station is part of the Thunder Bay Television twinstick with the CBC affiliate CKPR, owned by Dougall Media. It is one of only three CTV-affiliated stations in Canada that are not owned and operated directly by CTV.
CHFD also airs some programming purchased from Global and CH, including Global National. CTV programming displaced from the station for this purpose occasionally airs on CKPR.
CHFD went on the air for the first time on October 14, 1972.
