Talk:Chevrolet S-10

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wouldn't it make more sense to have the article titled "Chevrolet S-10" and have "GMC Sonoma" redirect to it, much like the Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra page does? The Chevy variety outsold its GMC twin by far.

Agreed. This article should refer to the S-10 truck, with the S-15 and the Sonoma names redirecting to it. Of the three names associated with the identical body style throughout its run, the S-10 name was the best seller and the longest name in use. Please make the switch and edit the article.

[edit] towing

I have a 2001 S-10. Do I tow a trailer in regular drive or 3?

It's best for the 4L60E transmission, that you tow things in 4th gear. It saves the overdrive from burning out, and you from losing power going up and down hills.

I have had 2 s-10s in the last 3 years. I had a 1994 that had a 2.2 engin in it. The engine had all kinds of power but it kept messing heads up. now I have a 1992 with the iron duke it will pull anything u put behind it. why did the put the 2.2 in place of the 2.5. Why did they put an alumunim head on the cast iron block and not give the option to get a cast iron head for it. all ion all I would have o say the older engin was better than the newer one.
