- I'd have to disagree: There's a book cited as a source in the first item; a short story cited in the third, and a "see also" for more details in the fourth, which is described as "possibly apocryphal" - only the King Canute item doesn't have a source; I'll add one. Further, I think the tone of the article indicates that these shouldn't be taken as gospel ("The reliability of many of these anecdotes is suspect") so I'm going to remove the disputed tag, which seems kind of harsh. - DavidWBrooks 16:32, 28 October 2005 (UTC)
I believe that a Russian grandmaster was killed by accidental electrocution after playing a chess game with a computer (Deep-Blue style). Unfortunately, I don't know his name, but I imagine these sorts of deaths (and there are probably more) fall under this category.

- Trolling? Don't insult me like that. But as it turns out, the story was a Weekly World News article; you may make your own conclusions as to its veractiy. Link appear below.
