My first time posting an article. Need advice. It has been proposed for deletion, but I made editing changes that should satisfy the subject is of cultural notability. Do not know how to remove warning page about proposed deletion. Please advise how to proceed. Maile66

Anyone can remove a prod notice, though an article can still be deleted via a discussion at Articles for Deletion. The concern I have, about notability, can usually be solved by reference to multiple non-trivial published works (newspaper articles, for example). See WP:N and WP:CORP for more information about how notability can be established.--Kchase T 17:43, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Ok. But you don't tell me HOW to remove it.Maile66
You just edit the article and remove the notice. It's usually at the top of the article. Anyway, I'll just take it to AfD if you want to challenge the prod.--Kchase T 18:31, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Read your notes, I'm pretty sure it doesn't fall under WP:CORP, because the dance hall is of historical and cultural significance - both to the history of the state of Texas, and to the evolution of country music and popular music. Would that make it WP:N? Having that narrowed down, I don't believe my sources are trivial. Maile66
I'd suggest you go to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cherry Springs Dance Hall and make your case there. The formatting is:
*'''Keep''' (whatever your reasoning is) --~~~~
Just put that below the nomination. Here's another discussion as an example. You might want to check to make sure those are reliable sources. I think the online magazine would be, but I'm not so sure about the others.--Kchase T 19:10, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
