Talk:Cherry Hill, Baltimore

[edit] Cherry Hill is not Beirut

OK, I'm a white middle-class Baltimore resident, and while I probably wouldn't walk around Cherry Hill alone at night, the original version of this article made the neighborhood sound like Baghdad and was way, way over the top. The statement about "thousands of lives" being lost is particularly ludicrous -- the entire city of Baltimore averages less than 300 homicides a year, and Cherry Hill makes up less than 2 percent of Baltimore's population. Its reputation for violence certainly merits a place in this article, but I think the current version is a lot more appropriate for an encylopedia. --Jfruh 18:18, 6 September 2005 (UTC)
