Talk:Cheese (cheesy music)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is not needed, some person just added this here. This album is probably some of the "cheesy music"....

i think this article should be deleted. i've never heard of 'cheese' or 'cheesy' genre music, and this article fails to cite it being a popular or well-defined term. if it is not deleted, it should at least be removed from the genre category because it is too subjective to be a genre. two informed people could have two very differnt concepts of 'cheesiness'. -anon
Maybe this page could do with a clean up but the phrase "Cheese" is pretty well used in the UK. Maybe its less so in other countries. For example an Amazon review of a Steps Album says:
Such cheese, it could only be Steps!, 7 Feb 2002 Goodness! A greatest hits album already? Where has the time gone Steps? Yep, "Steps Gold" is jam-packed with pure cheese, terrible dance routines and track after track of Mickey Mouse squeeky clean bubble-gum pop.
Being hard to define should not be a reason for deletion. Pontificake 11:04, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
okay, news to me - would you call it a genre? -same anon
It could be considered a genre, but I'm not a musicologist. Any re-write or decision on its future should take into account the article Bubblegum pop. Pontificake 11:40, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
I've removed the AFD box, as the article was never correctly listed for discussion. Pontificake 21:15, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
