Chevrolet Apollo
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Chevrolet Apollo is a car produced by Chevrolet and Holden. It was sold in Europe as a Holden, and in parts of Asia wearing the Chevrolet badge. The Apollo was based on the Toyota Camry between 1989 and 1997, and was similar to the Holden version sold in Australia.
[edit] The Apollo after 1997
After 1997, the Apollo name continued, on a version of the Opel Vectra (1988-95) design. It was offered as a four-door saloon or five-door hatchback. A choice of 1.6, 1.8, and 2.0-litre 4-cylinder and 2.5-litre V6 engines were on offer. This was sold as a Holden in Europe and sold well in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium and the United Kingdom.
