Cheung Kwai Yeung

Cheung Kwai-Yeung PhD, was recruited by Louis Cha in 1981 as Cha's personal assistant. Later on, Cheung was moved to Local Desk of Ming Pao Daily as Senior Reporter, Section Head in Political Beat and later promoted as News Editor of Ming Pao Evening News. Cheung left Ming Pao in 1984 and returned to Ming Pao again in 1989 as Deputy Chief Editor and Editorial Writer till 1991. In 1994, Louis Cha urged Cheung to pursue PhD degree in HKU. Under Cha's assistance, Cheung would reach a lot of confidential documents relating to Ming Pao and hence Cheung could complete his thesis with first hand information. Cheung Kwai Yeung's other media experience included: -Managing Editor of TVB news. -Deputy General Manager and Chief Editor of Chinese Television Network. -Head of Chinese Newsroom of Radio Television Hong Kong. -Head of Training and Development of Radio Television Hong Kong. Cheung is Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Federation of Journalists, Honorary Research Fellow of Centre of Asian Studies of HKU and Adjunct Fellow of School of Mass Communication and Journalism, Hong Kong Baptist University.
