Chester services is the only motorway service station on the M56 motorway around 8 miles from Chester city centre. It is owned by RoadChef, and opened in 1998. Previously to 1998 the site was a picnic area, this was then closed and redeveloped into what it is today. The services are also accessible to the A5117 which also intersects at the same junction. There are no further services wesbound on the M56, or on the nearby M53 motorway and A55 after the Chester Services.

There is a petrol station, motel, toilets, fast food branch, general store, and coffee bar, all available at these services.
