Chester Township, Clinton County, Ohio

Chester Township, one of thirteen townships in Clinton County, Ohio, United States, is located in the northwest corner of the county. In 2000, the population was 1,771 up from 1,200 in 1990.
The township is governed by a three-member board of trustees, who are elected in November of odd-numbered years to a four-year term beginning on the following January 1. Two are elected in the year after the presidential election and one is elected in the year before it. There is also an elected township clerk, who serves a four-year term beginning on April 1 of the year after the election, which is held in November of the year before the presidential election. Vacancies in the clerkship or on the board of trustees are filled by the remaining trustees.
It is bordered on the west by the Warren County townships of Massie and Wayne, on the north by the Greene County townships of Spring Valley and Caesars Creek, on the east by Liberty Township and Union Township, and on the south by Adams Township.
Major roads are Interstate 71 and State Routes 73 and 380.
Caesar Creek State Park is partially located in Chester Township.
