Chesham United is an English football club based in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, currently playing in the Southern League. They are nicknamed "The Generals" because they were once the football team of the General Baptist Church (now called Broadway Baptist Church) in Chesham. They play their home matches at The Meadow.

- 1917 - Formed as a merger of Chesham Generals and Chesham Town
- 1947-48 - Joined Corinthian League
- 1960-61 - Corinthian League runner-up (on goal average)
- 1963-64 - Corinthian League disbanded, and along with most of the other sides, joined enlarged Athenian League in new Division One
- 1967-68 - FA Amateur Cup runner-up
- 1973-74 - Joined Isthmian League in its new Division Two
- 1977-78 - Division Two renamed Division One
- 1986 - Relegated to Division Two North
- 1986-87 - Isthmian League Division Two North Champions; promoted to Division One
- 1990-91 - Isthmian League Division One Champions; promoted to Premier Division
- 1992-93 - Isthmian League Champions
- 1995 - Relegated to Division One
- 1996-97 - Isthmian League Division One Champions; promoted to Premier Division
- 2003 - Relegated to Division One North
- 2004-05 - Joined Southern League Premier Division
- 2006-07 - Relegated to Division One South & West

The club appointed former England and AC Milan star Luther Blissett as manager on Feb 15, 2006. One of Blissett's first signings was AFC Wimbledon's Michael Harvey, famous for his time in the rap group So Solid Crew. Blissett and Harvey knew each from their time in Sky One's TV show The Match. Another participant from The Match who has also turned out for the Generals is goalkeeper Alex Lawler, an actor who has appeared in Dream Team and Mike Bassett: England Manager.
