Cherry Hill, Baltimore

Cherry Hill is one of the southernmost neighborhoods in Baltimore, Maryland. It is a relatively isolated enclave within the city, bounded by the Middle Branch of the Patapsco River to the north, the river's main channel to the east, and railroad tracks, including the tracks of the Baltimore Light Rail system, to the west and south. The only roads leading in or out of the neighborhood are Hanover Street, Potee Street, and Waterview Avenue; there's also a Light Rail stop at the northwest edge of the neighborhood.
The Cherry Hill neighborhood was developed fairly recently in Baltimore's history. The community was founded as a home for African-American veterans returning from World War II.
CherryHill is a vibrant community, where people from many walks of life reside. Cherry Hill has produced Pastors who have become Bishops, Police officers who have attained the rank of Chief of Police, there are Educators,Lawyers, Engineers,Politicians,Judges and Hard Working folk, Garbage collectors and other city, state and federal employees, all living together. There are blue collar workers and white collar workers. Cherry Hill is a community that has been isolated from the City of Baltimore sense its inception. Rolling Hills, Large trees and plenty of green grass, makes CherryHill a Suburb within a Big City CherryHill can boast about receiving a Blue Ribbon Award for academic excellence. There are many Historical buildings and Homes that exists in the community. This community has survived segregation and desegregation, and is now working hard to become a strong educational Hub for inspiring Youth that have the desire to be something other than a statistic. CherryHill . . . the Community that will stand the test of time.
