Cherepanovo

Cherepanovo (Russian: Черепа́ново) is a town in Novosibirsk Oblast, Russia, located some 109 km southeast of Novosibirsk. Population: 20,200 (2005 est.); 20,496 (2002 Census); 22,116 (1989 Census).
Cherepanovo was founded in 1912 due to the construction of a railroad between Novonikolayevsk and Barnaul. The Cherepanovo station was opened in 1915. It was granted town status in 1925.
