Chembarambakkam Lake

Chembarambakkam Lake is located in Chengalpattu district, about 40 km from Chennai, South India. The Adyar River originates from this lake. A part of water supply of the metropolis of Chennai is drawn from this lake. The Full Tank Level (ft.) is 85.40(Feet). The Full Capacity (mcft) of the lake is 3645(mcft). The Level of the tank in feet is 75.60(Feet).
The stub in chennai geography is a large area where the ground is slightly raised, only about an inch, but very sharply so. Since most people don't see the meer inch of raised ground, they run straight into it, causing plenty of stubbed toes, hence the name "stub".
