Chelsea Joy Handler (born February 25, 1975) is an American Actress. She has her own program, The Chelsea Handler Show, on the E! Television Network.

Handler was born in Livingston, New Jersey and has five siblings. She grew up in a Jewish neighborhood and was raised as a Reform Jew by her Mormon mother and Jewish father.[1] Handler started her career by heckling stand-up comedians in the mid-to-late-'90s.

Handler is a regular on the Oxygen Network series Girls Behaving Badly. She has appeared on many shows, including Weekends at the D.L., The Bernie Mac Show and The Practice. She is a regular commentator on E! as well as a correspondent on The Tonight Show. As a stand-up comedian, she has made multiple appearances across America.

Handler wrote My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands (ISBN 1582346186 ) as her memoirs. Handler also wrote Are You There Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea (ISBN 0061173398).

In 2007, Handler is performing with the Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour across the U.S..
