"Chelsea Dagger" is a song by The Fratellis and their second single. It was released on August 28, 2006. It is taken from their debut album Costello Music, which was released in the UK on September 11, 2006. It's supposed to be named after Jon Fratelli's wife Heather, a burlesque dancer whose stage name he borrowed for the song. This song was played when Shunsuke Nakamura scored from a free-kick for Celtic Football Club in their 1 v 0 win over Manchester United on November 21, 2006. The Fratellis claimed on Soccer AM that this was a great honour and they hadn't known for a while as they were too excited with the goal. It is played when Rotherham United, Preston North End, score when Ipswich Town score a goal and when Salford City Reds score a try. The song was played at the Football League Cup Final 2007 as Chelsea lifted the trophy. It can now be regularly heard at Stamford Bridge and has quickly become a favorite among the fans. Preston North End and Rotherham United also use this song at their matches when a goal has been scored. It is also played at Easter Road when Hibernian FC score, it was played after the CIS Insurance Cup Final 2007 at Hampden Park after Hibs beat Kilmarnock 5 - 1.

It is the theme song of the 2006 Serious Request project on 3FM (The Netherlands). In the night of Saturday 23 to Sunday 24 December 2006 the song was massively requested and played six times within a four hour time span.

It is characterized by its anthemic, scat sung chorus, which repeats the line "Dur dur dur."
