Chelsea Benson (born Georgia Brady on May 22, 1998[1], in Louisiana) is a character on the television drama Days of our Lives. Since her introduction into the show in 2005, her birth year has since been adjusted to 1987.

Chelsea is currently played by actress Rachel Melvin, who is on contract with the show. The character was originally played on a recurring basis by Mandy Musgrave.

Chelsea is the long-lost daughter of Billie Reed and Bo Brady, who was initially buried in the bayou as Georgia Brady. The truth came out when Chelsea’s adopted parents were killed in a car accident and blood tests revealed her true lineage. Billie immediately stepped in to care for Chelsea, who opted to keep the last name Benson.

As Abby's best friend, Chelsea has been a bad influence. She's encouraged Abby to smoke, drink and lie often to her mother. She's also had a few driving incidents, including having her license revoked. Of course, the most serious accident resulted in the death of Zack Brady - her half-brother, whom she hit while she was text messaging and driving simultaneously, thus incurring the wrath of Hope Brady and half-brother Shawn-Douglas Brady.

Chelsea was involved with Max Brady, who kept Chelsea's secret about accidentally killing Zack. Chelsea's also been obsessed with older men including Patrick Lockhart who was conveniently staying at Abby's house. Seeing Billie has her biggest competition, Chelsea hated her, that is, until she learned that Billie was actually her mother.

After all the bad things Chelsea did, she desperatley wanted to change. While serving her community service at the hospital, a gloved hand leaves a file for Chelsea to discover. The file says that Claire Kiriakis is not the daughter of Philip Kiriakis but of Shawn Brady (her half-brother). Shawn finds the folder and learns the truth. Mimi tells the truth and it costs her her marriage to Shawn. Thanks to Chelsea.

Thinking she is doing the right thing, Chelsea leaves the file in Shawn's cubicle for him to find while he lies unconsious from alcohol poisoning. She feels letting him know he is Claire's father will give him a reason to live.

Belle and Shawn discover the file when he wakes up and she is visiting him. They both think the file is fradulent because they do not remember sleeping together.

The file is dusted for fingerprints and it is discovered that apart from Shawn and Belle, Chelsea's are the only other fingerprints on the file!

Chelsea is arrested by Bo. When Max finds out what Chelsea did, he blows up at her stating that they are finished.

Bo decides that the only way to prove that Chelsea is guilty is to run the DNA test on Shawn to see if he is Claire's biological father. The tests come back positive, Shawn is Claire's father! In this turn of events, the charges were dropped.

Chelsea is currently on a rampage to get Bo and Billie back together, and recently consulted her Grandma Kate Roberts for advice, only to nearly interrupt Kate with her much younger lover, E.J. Wells. Kate encouraged Chelsea to be driven and go after what she wants.

Chelsea has just got over having a mystery lover online. By the name of Dr. Shane Patten. She tells him all her feelings and her deepest secrets thinking she can trust him. She even plans there future together. She gets so into him she wants all the details about him so she gets the genious Nick Fallon to find everything out for her. After giving up on him because he won't talk to her she learns the real truth. It was Nick all along just trying to get her to like him. She flips out on him and says she thought she could finally trust him after learning everything about him on there trip to Toronto. But she was wrong.

She gets comforted by Bo and Hope. Bo tells her he thinks his little girl is finally growing up. Bo leaves to go see Roman Brady. Hope and Chelsea bond together. She meets and holds her new baby sister. Chelsea and Hope sit on the couch and talk alittle more. Furious Bo comes home and screams at Chelsea for being involved with Patrick and tells her she is not his daughter anymore.

Her mom Billie finds Chelsea at Max's garage and comforts her. Nick is at the garage to and Chelsea sees him and screams at him. Billie makes Nick leave. Chelsea and Billie both cry. Billie takes Chelsea home where she can calm down.
